Lindenwood IACUC

The mission of the Lindenwood Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) is to oversee the care, well-being, and humane treatment of animals used for research and educational purposes at 51¸£ÀûÉç. Any research project, class activity, or testing procedure involving the use of animals at 51¸£ÀûÉç or by its representatives must be reviewed and approved by the IACUC before initiation. 

The Lindenwood IACUC is actively engaged in:

• Ethical review of the use and care of animals for teaching and research.
• Monitoring animal care and use in compliance with federal, state, and local policy.
• Ongoing review of facilities where animals are housed and used.
• Providing resources for faculty using animals in teaching and research.
