The Emerson Black Box Theater is a flexible space designed to put the audience close to the action. This theater can be configured for traditional theater, theater in the round, or anything in between. The Emerson Black Box Theater seats 70-170 audience members giving a more intimate feel to music, dance, drama and experimental theater.

The Emerson Black Box Theater is located to the right of the Grand Lobby next to the Boyle Art Gallery.
