Students can select one of two program delivery models: Blended or Asynchronous.

The Leadership, EdD program now offers all students, upon acceptance, the option of selecting either a blended or asynchronous learning design. The blended approach includes 24 credits completed at the St. Charles campus. All students regardless of their selected learning modality are taught by 51¸£ÀûÉç’s esteemed faculty.

Our focus is on rigorous preparation, applied problem solving, creating an equity mindset, and providing each student individualized, continuous support.

This St. Louis Leadership, EdD is designed to be completed in three years, with program milestones embedded into the coursework. During the three-year experience students implement the principles of improvement science, transform educational process, practices, and organizations, and emerge as a scholar practitioner.

Areas of Concentration

Each EdD student selects, at the time of admission, an area of concentration consisting of 5 courses:

• Curriculum & Instruction
• Education Administration (Missouri Advanced Superintendent Certification)
• Higher Education Administration

*Applicants can transfer in up to 15 credit hours with an EdS in Education Administration.

Faculty in the Leadership, EdD program bring real world experience to the students aligned with 51¸£ÀûÉç’s mission of Real Experience. Real Success. Open educational resources (OER’s) are used throughout the program to minimize the cost of textbooks while providing access to the most current research.

All leadership doctoral courses are tailored to facilitate the course outcomes, as student engagement is a recognized best practice.
