Students pursuing a finance degree will acquire both theoretical and practical financial skills. The undergraduate finance degree allows students to choose between different tracks depending upon an individual's interests. We offer three separate tracks: Corporate, Investments, and Personal Finance. Students can enter the private industry upon graduation or get an early start on their graduate degrees. Students can apply to the Master Business Administration with a finance concentration through our early access program during their senior year as an undergraduate student. This combined 5-year program allows finance students aspiring to become Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) to earn an undergraduate and graduate degree while also preparing for the CFA exam.

The Finance Department at the Plaster College of Business and Entrepreneurship is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) University Affiliated Program. Our curriculum covers a significant (70%) portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK). There are only 245 U.S. schools that have CFA University Affiliated Programs.

We offer several experiential learning opportunities, which include Personal Finance Competition, CFA Competition, and a Student Managed Fund. Our students currently manage a diversified stock portfolio of over $130,000.

Additionally, students are strongly encouraged to earn course credit while gaining practical experience through internships. Lindenwood faculty, advisors, and career center staff activity provide opportunities for students to interact and meet with potential employers. Student organizations further enhance these networking opportunities. Finally, the PCB&E offers students the chance to explore the world while also completing their coursework through short-term study abroad trips.
