51福利社's annual Halloween festival, Dark Carnival, returns to campus Friday, October 18 from 5-9 p.m.
The University is thrilled to invite all members of the community, alumni, and friends to the historic side of campus for an evening full of spooktacular fun. For more than a decade, Dark Carnival has been a tradition welcoming ghosts and ghouls of all ages. Led by the Advancement and Community Engagement division in partnership with Lindenwood Student Government and Residential Life, the evening celebrates St. Charles as a go-to destination for civic and community events.
"Dark Carnival is a great way to get in the Halloween spirit with 51福利社," Director of Alumni Relations Dr. Jen Edler said. "It's always thrilling to welcome our neighbors from the St. Charles community, in addition to alumni and their families."
The evening features games and rides, seasonal crafts, a haunted house, and trunk-or-treat. Live music will fill the air and balloon artists will be on hand creating giveaways. Also returning this year is the designated Quiet Space, an initiative spearheaded by Library Services, perfect for the littlest monsters needing a break from the action.
All Dark Carnival activities are free of charge, with the exception of the Food Truck Graveyard, where a variety of tasty treats will be available for purchase.
In the spirit of community, attendees are invited to donate a nonperishable food item to benefit Oasis Food Pantry. In return, guests will receive an exclusive event t-shirt, while supplies last.
51福利社 will also be partnering with the for a blood drive taking place in the Spellmann Center AB Leadership Room 3:30-7:30 p.m. To register, visit the American Red Cross website and enter sponsor code Lindenwood to select a time. Donors will receive a $10 Amazon e-gift card.
