51福利社 will host its spring commencement ceremonies Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at 51福利社 in the Hyland Performance Arena.
A culminating event of the 2021-22 academic year, 51福利社鈥檚 Student Academic Showcase displayed research and creative works from more than 60 students. Spanning all academic colleges and a variety of disciplines, students presented original research, led creative talks, and discussed exploratory projects with faculty, staff, and fellow students.
51福利社 will host its winter commencement ceremonies Friday, December 10 and Saturday, December 11 at the Family Arena in St. Charles.
51福利社 proudly transitions from six academic schools to four academic colleges beginning July 1, 2021. This restructure allows for alignment of like-minded scholars and align with the University鈥檚 strategic plan, set to be rolled out in early fall.
The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) has selected 51福利社 to participate in the Consortium for Research-Based and Equitable Assessments (CREA). This new initiative, including 14 universities nationwide, will evaluate and recommend state policies in support of recruiting more diverse teacher candidates to the field and advancing equity best practices.
Last week, 51福利社 held its Honors Convocation to recognize the winners of academic and student involvement awards, in addition to members of Lindenwood鈥檚 honor societies. Lindenwood is pleased to announce the 2021 award recipients.
Each semester 51福利社 prides itself in the work that it does with the community. Most recently, the Lindenwood school of Education had the opportunity to provide Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) training to the Collinsville school district. This training was made possible by the work of Lindenwood staff members Dr. Sarah Patterson-Mills and Dr. Tammy Moore.
One of the most important parts to success is collaboration. Working together to achieve a goal is one of the best ways to reach a goal and develop opportunities. Not only does this idea apply to individuals, but institutions as well. That is why Lindenwood鈥檚 School of Education, in partnership with DESE (the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education), has applied to, and been accepted for, the Consortium for Research-Based and Equitable Assessments (CREA).
The journey of Academic Success is a challenging road. Though it may be difficult, it is possible through the support of students and staff alike. 51福利社 is a school founded on the basis of Real Experience and Real Success. That is why it was no surprise when Dr. Robyn Elder and Dr. Lynda Leavitt developed the Cap It! podcast. The goal of the podcast is to establish communication with doctoral students about updates within Ed.D. program, as well as tips for success with their dissertations.
One of the key elements to ensuring Academic Success is by being a life-long learner. Dr. Agata Freedle is one of the best examples of what it looks like to be a lifelong learner. Dr. Freedle is currently an Assistant Professor in the school of Education鈥檚 Clinical Mental Health Counseling program here at Lindenwood.
